Sunday, November 15 | 9:00 - 11:00 AM | $49 per person | Limited to 12 guests
Join Paint Kirkland and LizzyKate Tea for a cozy morning of tea, creativity, and Chinese tea culture.
Tea pets have a long history in Chinese tea culture going back hundreds of years. Traditionally made from clay and shaped into animals, mythical creatures, and other playful forms, these small companions have become a beloved part of the tea-drinking tradition.
Amy Riffle of LizzyKate Tea will guide you through a tasting of three traditional Chinese teas while sharing the history and tradition of tea pets.
Along the way, you'll choose and paint your own ceramic tea pet with guidance from Paint Kirkland. Your finished tea pet will stay with us to be clear glazed and kiln fired, then we'll let you know when it's ready for pickup.
YOUR TICKET INCLUDES:
One ceramic tea pet
Paints & creative guidance
Clear glazing and kiln firing
A guided tasting of three traditional Chinese teas
Tea pet history and education with LizzyKate Tea
GOOD TO KNOW:
Guests are encouraged to bring a favorite small ceramic teacup for the tasting. Disposable tasting cups will also be available.
